Missions:
Test Execution & Reporting:
Develop and execute detailed test cases for both the complete software solution and individual software add-ons, covering various protocols, devices, edge scenarios, and industry-specific challenges.
Record test results, provide regular updates to the project team, and maintain organized defect tracking.
Report and track defects, ensuring all bugs are properly documented and prioritized.
Test Automation & Continuous Improvement:
Design, develop, and maintain an automation framework tailored to our IoT environment.
Seamlessly integrate automation testing into CI/CD pipelines.
Identify areas for improvement in automation coverage and drive these enhancements.
Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in IoT testing.
Regularly review, assess, and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure optimal performance and results.
Collaboration:
Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand feature requirements and ensure the developed solution meets customer needs.
Simulate various scales of device connections and evaluate system performance under different network conditions to ensure the platform's robustness and responsiveness.
Technical Publications and Validation Support:
Collaborate with the Technical Publications team to elucidate functional use cases and help in crafting user-friendly documentation with UI guidance.
Act as the primary liaison for the Validation Team, assisting with bug reproduction, diagnosis, and resolution.
Skills & Competencies:
IoT Protocols and Practices: Proficiency with standard IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP. Understand their operation within individual components and larger system interactions.
Test Automation: Experience with tools and frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, and TestNG.
Integration Expertise: Strong capability in understanding intricate software systems, including how individual add-ons and components impact and integrate within a complete software solution.
Add-On and Complete Software Testing: Familiarity with the distinct challenges of testing both software add-ons and the broader software solutions they enhance.
Certifications: Possession of industry-recognized certifications, such as ISTQB or equivalents, affirming proficiency in software testing methodologies.
Hands-on IoT Expertise: Direct experience with IoT devices, understanding their intricacies, and familiarity with various hardware setups, especially as they relate to industrial applications.
